Phillips 66 Aviation Donates $21,000 to The Corporate Angel Network

In a presentation held at the world's largest civil aviation trade show, the National Business Aviation Association's (NBAA) Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA2014), Phillips 66® Aviation presented Corporate Angel Network (CAN) with a $21,000 donation contribution. CAN is the only charitable organization in the U.S whose sole mission is to help cancer patients access the best possible medical treatment by arranging free air travel to recognized treatment centers. The organization does this by utilizing the empty seats onboard corporate jets during their normal business trips.

Fast Five with Dick Koenig, Executive Director, Corporate Angel Network

A Milwaukee native and graduate of John Carroll University where he was a Small College Football All American, Koenig flew Huey gunships on two tours in Vietnam and one in Korea. Following six years of active duty, he served another 15 with the Air Guard flying both rotary and fixed-wing aircraft. An ATP and CFII, he briefly flew as an airline and corporate pilot before joining Jeppesen as an ad salesman, a career match that proved fortuitous. He joined Flying as a “space” salesman in 1976 and ten years later was promoted to publisher, a role he held until 2013 when he joined CAN. A founding board member of Women in Aviation, Koenig has served in leadership roles in many aviation organizations, including the CAN board. He has logged 7,000 flight hours.
