Phillips 66 Aviation Donates $21,000 to The Corporate Angel Network

In a presentation held at the world's largest civil aviation trade show, the National Business Aviation Association's (NBAA) Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA2014), Phillips 66® Aviation presented Corporate Angel Network (CAN) with a $21,000 donation contribution. CAN is the only charitable organization in the U.S whose sole mission is to help cancer patients access the best possible medical treatment by arranging free air travel to recognized treatment centers. The organization does this by utilizing the empty seats onboard corporate jets during their normal business trips.
Phillips 66 Aviation’s donation to CAN represents proceeds garnered from the Corporate Angel Award, a unique program that recognizes corporations and their flight departments that have demonstrated outstanding dedication as participants in Corporate Angel Network. Phillips 66 Aviation has participated in the program since 2010, donating more than $100,000.
Flight departments working with CAN are featured in quarterly, full-page aviation magazine ads, sponsored by Phillips 66 Aviation, Safe Flight Instrument Corporation and Business & Commercial Aviation magazine.
“Phillips 66 Aviation recognizes how essential it is for families affected by cancer to access safe and affordable air transportation to and from medical facilities that are sometimes hundreds if not thousands of miles away,” said Rosemary Leone, Director Programs Development, General Aviation, Phillips 66. “We applaud and support Corporate Angel Network and the countless number of families who have access to world-class medical treatment while alleviating the financial burden and stress of getting there.”
Working in conjunction with corporate flight departments, CAN arranges approximately 3,000 free patient flights each year. More than 46,000 flights have been coordinated by CAN since its inception in 1981.
