Four Atlantic Aviation FBOs Certified at NATA’s Highest Sustainability Standard

In accordance with the National Air Transportation Association’s (NATA’s) new Sustainability Standard, Atlantic Aviation has achieved Tier 3 Green Aviation Business certification for all four FBOs that it operates in Colorado, joining five other Atlantic Aviation FBOs certified as Green Aviation Businesses in the United States.

NATA’s Green Aviation Business Sustainability Standard provides FBOs and other aviation businesses a certification process for pursuing cost-effective options to lower their carbon footprint, including using environmentally friendly energy sources, reducing waste, and promoting a sustainability mindset. As part of the certification process, each FBO is required to estimate an annual carbon footprint, and Atlantic Aviation has purchased offsets to achieve carbon-neutral operations for all its certified Green Aviation Businesses based on these footprint estimates.

Atlantic Aviation in Aspen, Colorado (KASE), Montrose, Colorado (KMTJ), Hayden/Steamboat Springs, Colorado (KHDN), and Rifle, Colorado (KRIL) are now Tier 3 certified by NATA – the highest and most demanding level of sustainability certification offered by the organization. These locations join Atlantic Aviation FBOs in Fresno, California (KFAT), Lincoln, Nebraska (KLNK), Sarasota, Florida (KSRQ), Scottsdale, Arizona (KSDL) and White Plains, New York (KHPN) – bringing the company’s current total number of NATA Certified Green Aviation FBOs to nine, with more locations expected to follow in the months ahead.

In addition to now having nine locations certified as NATA Green Aviation businesses, Atlantic Aviation is committed to environmental stewardship through programs focused on reducing environmental impacts, offsetting remaining emissions, and supporting customers in achieving their sustainability goals – including a continuous supply Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) at multiple locations.
