Sheltair Announces New FBO Operations at Albert Whitted Airport

Sheltair, Florida’s largest, privately-owned group of fixed base operations (FBOs), announces its newest FBO and property leasing location at Albert Whitted Airport, St, Petersburg Florida (Sheltair SPG). As of November 1, 2012, Sheltair SPG commenced operations as the sole service provider on the airfield.

Sheltair VP, Todd Anderson stated, “Sheltair is excited about being partners with the City of St. Petersburg and the local Albert Whitted Airport community. We look forward to bringing Sheltair’s reputable first-class service and future development capabilities to work in conjunction with the City to help grow the airport operation to reach its maximum potential for downtown St. Petersburg.”

Sheltair SPG will be providing full FBO services out of the main terminal facility at Albert Whitted Airport as well as managing on behalf of the city over 80 t-hangars and 27,000 of corporate hangars. The main terminal is located on the northwest side of the airport in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg and adjacent to the historic Albert Whitted Hangar One - where the first commercial airliner flew out of in 1914.
