L.J. Aviation Adds New Hangar and Three New Aircraft

L.J. Aviation is pleased to announce the completion of a new state-of-the-art hangar at its headquarters facility at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport in Latrobe, Pa., and the delivery of three factory-new aircraft.

The dimensions of the new hangar are 120 by 240 feet and represent a $2 million investment in the surrounding Westmoreland County community. L.J. Aviation is at maximum capacity with 31 aircraft in its fleet and more than 100 employees at eight nationwide locations and required the new space to support its operation. The newly built hangar will allow the company to store eight additional aircraft which range from small-, medium- and large-cabin jets to turboprops and helicopters.

"We're adding three factory-new aircraft this first quarter of 2009, including a Challenger 300, Hawker 900 XP and King Air C90 GTi," L.J. Aviation president and CEO Ed Kilkeary Sr. said. "Despite a decline in the charter segment of our industry, our company's aircraft management segment has remained strong." Kilkeary added, "We are confident that our continued investment in our infrastructure will provide us with the tools necessary to grow our business and provide exceptional service, even in a challenging economic climate."
