Flight Pro International Launches Webinar Series to Cover Global Compliance and Regulatory Issues for General Aviation Operators
/Flight Pro International (FPI) is pleased to announce the recent launch of “Connecting the Dots” (CTD), an ongoing video series covering compliance-related issues around the globe.
The series will stay archived HERE (https://flightprointernational.com/connecting-the-dots-a-webinar-series-by-fpi/) for viewer convenience; three videos are ready for viewing.
The educational effort is spearheaded by FPI’s in-house Compliance and Regulatory department, with Rick Snider (Director of Contracts and Compliance) and Jeffrey Basham, (Sr. Manager of Compliance) at the helm. Snider and Basham each bring over 30 years of experience within aviation to the table with Snider beginning as a pre-GPS, Marine Corp C130 navigator and dispatcher, and Basham as a private pilot and dispatcher with a Master’s certification for Risk Management and Compliance.
Snider and Basham routinely publish integral compliance-related resource data for FPI clients and colleagues via articles within FPI’s monthly newsletter, “Connections,” along with periodical contributions to key industry publications.
However, with global compliance concerns frequently changing and overly complex, Snider and Basham elected to launch CTD in order to provide an additional educational resource for FPI’s audience in the form of an ongoing, online video series.
“Our goal is to reach, and hopefully provide ongoing education to, operators through a video series in addition to the written articles we periodically publish,” states Snider.
“While we have a plethora of compliance-related topics already planned, we’ve encouraged our audience to request any special interest topics they are eager to have addressed,” continues Basham.
To date, CTD’s videos have covered Europe’s new Entry/Exit System (EES) and European Travel Information & Authorization System (ETIAS) requirements, pre-flight travel documentation, and unique legal requirements for people holding dual citizenship. Future editions will include topics such as eu-LISA updates, U.S. CDC notices regarding dogs on private aircraft, and a variety of other topics that fall within their department’s areas of expertise, including (but not limited to):
EU, Swiss and UK ETS Support (including Carbon Emissions Reporting assistance)
UK Air Passenger Duty (APD) Support
Mexico SENEAM Air Navigation Support
Central America COCESNA Air Navigation Support
USA Border Overflight Exemption (BOE)
USA Visa Waiver Program (VWP)
USA Customs Decals
USA TSA Waiver
USA Part 375 Annual Authorization
By design, FPI’s infrastructure is built as a limber General Aviation trip support business with each personnel empowered to integrate and overlap their expertise and services in FPI’s 24/7/365 Houston, TX, headquarters. The Compliance and Regulatory department is one of many such in-house professional teams under one roof.
“We’re here to do the heavy lifting,” Snider states, “and to shoulder the burden of the regulatory workload behind the scenes so that FPI clients are informed, equipped, and confidently prepared to navigate trip complexities with ease.”
