Aerologística and Signature Aviation Partner to Develop Costa Rica’s New Executive Aviation Terminal at Guanacaste Airport

Since Coriport announced in 2024 the process for the development of the new Executive Aviation Terminal, Aerologística immediately understood that this was not just another opportunity, but a defining moment for the private aviation industry in Costa Rica.

Northern Costa Rica has consolidated itself as one of the fastest-growing private aviation markets in Central America. This growth is not circumstantial. It is driven by a structural combination of premium tourism, foreign direct investment, and a sustained increase in corporate and high-net-worth flight activity.

This dynamic places real pressure on existing infrastructure. As the volume of business jets, executive passengers, and international operations continues to rise, so does the need for specialized services, dedicated processes, and an experience aligned with the profile of today’s private aviation client.

The new Executive Aviation Terminal is not an aspirational project. It is a logical response to a market that already exists and continues to expand.

Within this context, NBAA 2024 marked the beginning of a key strategic decision. Aerologística chose to align with Signature Aviation, the world’s largest and most established FBO operator, to structure a proposal aligned with the operational, commercial, and service standards required by a market of this scale.

Working in close coordination between both organizations, we accomplished in a few days what typically takes months: traffic analysis, growth projections, service design, and financial structuring, all focused on a single objective. To deliver to Coriport a proposal that is solid, credible, and aligned with the real evolution of the market.

This initiative also takes place at a pivotal moment for the industry.

Private aviation toward 2026 is entering a phase of structural growth. Digital platforms, artificial intelligence, and operational automation are transforming how executive aviation services are delivered and commercialized. The global market is projected to grow at approximately 4.5% annually, with Latin America emerging as one of the most dynamic regions.

Following the official announcement, we took a moment before communicating publicly. Because this is not simply a project being awarded. It represents a validation of vision, execution, and strategic positioning.

Today, Aerologística, a 100% Costa Rican-owned company, is working alongside Signature Aviation in the development and operation of the new Executive Aviation Terminal at Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport.
