Airways International Achieves Stage 2 IS-BAH Registration

Airways International Limited has been awarded a Stage 2 International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH™) Registration designation after successfully completing a comprehensive safety audit.

In achieving a Stage 2 Registration, Airways International successfully demonstrated that the company has met IS-BAH safety standards which confirms that safety management activities are operational and that safety risks are being effectively managed.

Located at the Norman Manley International Airport (MKJP), Kingston Jamaica, Airways International has been in operation for more than 50 years and is the longest standing holder of an Aircraft Operator’s Certificate (AOC) on the island.

IS-BAH™ was established through the efforts of the International Aviation Business Council (IBAC) and the National Air Transportation Association (NATA) as a global code to identify and promote the use of industry best practices by means of a progressive Safety Management System (SMS) for both FBOs and Business Aircraft Handling Agencies (BAHA). It follows the structure of the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) and the NATA Safety 1st Ground Audit Program.
