Abilene Aero & Lubbock Aero Awarded IS-BAH Registration

Abilene Aero and Lubbock Aero have successfully completed an International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH) registration.

Abilene Aero, in its 50th year of business, has been continuously operating at the Abilene Regional Airport (KABI) since 1968. Lubbock Aero has been operating at the Lubbock/Preston Smith Airport (KLBB) since 1990.

Both Abilene Aero and Lubbock Aero are full service FBOs offering fueling, aircraft sales, charter, maintenance, avionics installation and parts.

"At Abilene Aero and Lubbock Aero, our goal is to provide the best possible customer experience with a focus on providing a safe operating environment,"  said Joe Crawford, President. "The level of standards we've established through the IS-BAH registration program helps us build a framework for a strong internal safety culture for all our customers, vendors and employees."

IS-BAH was established through the efforts of the International Aviation Business Council (IBAC) and the National Air Transportation Association (NATA) as a global code to identify and promote the use of industry best practices by means of a progressive Safety Management System (SMS) for both FBOs and Business Aircraft Handling Agencies (BAHA). It follows the format and structure of the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) program and incorporates many of the guidelines of the NATA Safety 1st Ground Audit Standard and elements of NATA's Safety 1st Program.
