Greenpoint Technologies Receives ESGR Award

The Above and Beyond Award recognizes employers who surpass the legal requirements of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act by providing their Guard and Reserve employees additional, non-mandated benefits such as differential or full pay to offset lost wages, extended health benefits and more. ESGR was established in 1972 by the United States Department of Defense to promote cooperation and understanding between Reserve service members and their employers.

Additionally, Bruce Kay, Greenpoint Vice President of Engineering, received the Patriot Award from ESGR. The Patriot Award honors managers who support the National Guard of Reserves by providing their employees with flexible schedules, time off before and after deployment, family care and leaves of absence if needed. Kay was nominated by Pierre Chambion, Maintenance Flight Commander in the 446th AirWing, Joint Base Lewis-McChord and Greenpoint Senior Director of Engineering.

“We are honored to accept this prestigious award from the ESGR. Greenpoint is grateful for the military veterans and reservists who serve our country, and we aim to support these employees and their families to the best of our ability,” explains Scott Goodey, Greenpoint CEO.
