CABA Hosting 2nd Annual Training Event; Awarding Scholarships

The Colorado Aviation Business Association (CABA) announced its annual training event, scheduled for Friday, October 5, 2012, from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum in Denver, Colo.

The event, co-hosted by Metropolitan State University of Denver's Department of Aviation and Aerospace Science, is offering training opportunities in SMS, iPad use in the cockpit and mountain flying among other topics. The event includes presentations by several notable speakers such as Astronaut, Joe Tanner; AOPA's Janet Bressel; Amelia Earhart with Denver Channel 9News; and representatives from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Interested participants are urged to register early as space is limited.

CABA will award several scholarships at the event, valued over $20,000. Among the scholarships is a Citation 500 series initial type rating, donated by CAE SimuFlite. Interested applicants have until September 15, 2012, to apply for all CABA scholarships.
