NBAA Announces Recipients of 2012 Schedulers & Dispatchers Scholarship

The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and its Schedulers & Dispatchers (S&D) Committee have announced the 12 recipients of the 2012 Schedulers & Dispatchers Scholarship. The announcement was made during the Association’s 23rd Annual Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference, held this week from January 15 to 18 in San Diego, Calif.

The annual monetary awards, donated by Member Companies, promote the career development of current and aspiring schedulers and dispatchers who seek to advance their aviation careers through continuing education. Signature Flight Support, Universal Weather and Aviation Inc., Air BP Aviation Services, AC-U-KWIK, Jet Aviation, LimoLink International, and Rockwell Collins Flight Information Solutions collectively donated $38,275 to fund the 2012 awards.

The 2012 award recipients are:

  • Kathleen Donnelly, ITT Corporation
  • Christie Golubski, Jack Henry & Associates
  • Alexandra Guras, student at Rocky Mountain College
  • Jason Herman, Purdue University
  • Kelly Madewell, FedEx Express
  • Lori Mincek, The Sherwin Williams Company
  • Susan Moss, Textron, Inc.
  • Marguerite Murphy, Baxter International, Inc.
  • Theresa Rushton-Herrera, Air Services, Inc.
  • Matthew Wilson, Alpha Flying, Inc.

NBAA's S&D Committee offers scholarships through two separate but related programs that specifically promote professional and career development for business aviation schedulers and dispatchers.

Through the Schedulers & Dispatchers Scholarship program, the committee offers cash grants, which can be used for a variety of professional development initiatives. Since 1997, more than $460,250 has been awarded to schedulers and dispatchers through this program. A separate Schedulers & Dispatchers Training Scholarship program, initiated in 2004, offers opportunities for scholarship recipients to gain access to hands-on teaching initiatives.
