Hangar Ten Receives Keystone Recognition Award

The Hangar Ten aviation services complex, located at the Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport (MKC), has received the coveted Keystone Recognition Award presented by the Clay County Economic Development Council for contributions to the local community in areas of job creation, expansion and capital improvements.

 

Completed in 2010, the 55,000-square-foot Hangar Ten facility is a cultural and design departure from traditional airport service operations combining a blend of gracious Midwest hospitality, unique customer amenities and bold environmentally friendly elements.

Operating 24 hours, seven days a week, the facility has 20 highly skilled employees who service primarily the needs of customers operating business aircraft.

The Hangar Ten facility has been recognized for its sustainable environmental features, including numerous green initiatives, and has also been acclaimed internationally by taking top honors in major aviation industry surveys. It was voted by the aviation industry as the top rated aviation service complex in the North Central Region of the U.S. and placed fifth overall in the Western Hemisphere which includes the U.S., Canada, Mexico, South and Central America and the Caribbean.
