Million Air Assembles Resources in Vancouver (CYVR) for Olympics

Million Air Vancouver's $150,000 hangar conversion has created a private lounge for 2010 Olympic Games guests. The area includes five flat-panel televisions so visitors can keep tabs on the Olympic events.Million Air Vancouver at CYVR has completed its final preparations to welcome attendees to the 2010 Olympic Games.

Million Air Vancouver has set up multiple private seating areas for guests arriving and departing.“Equipment is in place, and staff members are flying in from Dallas, Albany, Anchorage, Burbank, Topeka, Houston, Medford, San Antonio and Toronto prepared to make this event a grand success,” Million Air president and CEO Roger Woolsey said.

Million Air has 25-plus years experience in managing large-scale events and aims to ease GA arrivals in Vancouver.

“We have prepared for this event for over a year,” Million Air Vancouver CEO Robert Jens said. “Our $150,000 hangar conversion project will assure our guests have the privacy and comfort they have grown accustomed to with Million Air.”

Million Air Vancouver's Bistro Area will provide refreshments to Olympics spectators.Jens adds that Million Air Vancouver is offering its guests:

  • Internet access
  • Multiprivate seating areas to relax upon arrival and departure
  • Five flat-panel screens to keeping up with the Olympic events
  • Kid’s Zone featuring Wii Olympic Games

Million Air Vancouver has expanded its ground service equipment, and additional line service professionals are in place to meet the demands of the private aviation industry. Ample ramp space has also been secured for additional aircraft to assure access to the additional Million Air customers.

According to Woolsey, the Million Air Event Team includes experts in every aspect of private aviation and will be able to deliver a smooth Olympic experience.
