Since then, it has more than doubled its kitchen capacity and now serves the following airports in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut 24 hours a day, 365 days a year:

Gourmet Inflight Catering’s mission from day one has been to achieve perfection in quality, presentation and service with every single order. This focus on every different order makes Gourmet Inflight unique because all customers get what they want versus every customer getting the same tray or platter. Gourmet Inflight is committed to stay green, and every effort is made to maintain an environmentally friendly operation. The majority of purchases are made from local growers, and organic products are used as they are available. Almost all packaging materials are made from recycled items.

Gourmet Inflight is also involved in helping the local community along with its sister company Martini Grill Restaurant. Gourmet Inflight works through organizations such as Table to Table, which provides food to needy families, and the local Meadowlands Chamber of Commerce.

Meet The Chef

Executive chef Aret Cakir started his career in gastronomy at The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y. He expanded his knowledge and experience by cooking at the famous Maxine’s in Paris, France, and working as an executive sous chef for Chef Jean Louis Todishini of L’Auberge-de-France in New Jersey. After moving to New York and working at the world-renowned Le Cirque, he traveled to Los Angeles to work for Merv Griffin’s Beverly Hills Hilton where he had the opportunity of cooking for the “stars.” Upon his return to New Jersey, he became a chef-owner opening several eateries, the latest being Martini Grill in Wood Ridge. His vast experience and knowledge in gourmet cooking has now confidently expanded to the air in Gourmet Inflight.
