Acukwik.com Defies Market Trends, Posts 33% Traffic Increase

New Comments Section, NOTAMs and Kwik Bar Features to Spur Continued Growth

AC-U-KWIK has announced the release of three more enhancements at acukwik.com.  More pilots than ever have been turning to AC-U-KWIK’s user-friendly web site to get key pre-flight information, driving acukwik.com’s traffic numbers up by more than a third in just one year.

To keep this winning streak going, the site is investing in new features that add even more functionality for pilots who want a one-stop-shop for their pre-flight information needs. Working closely with the FAA, AC-U-KWIK has developed a unique, enhanced NOTAM section. Pilots, schedulers and other aviation professionals can now view NOTAMS at a particular airport directly on acukwik.com. At acukwik.com, a click on a NOTAM expands those details showing full information about that NOTAM.

A new comments section available on acukwik.com provides a robust community forum for pilots to report about their experiences at any FBO. Located to the right of each FBO, on the detailed airport page, is an orange button titled “View FBO Details/Comments.” Clicking on the button opens an expanded information page that lays up to 180 details about each FBO, which can include an airport diagram marking the FBO’s location on the field, a video slide show or a four color photograph. Scrolling down the expanded information page brings users to the place where a comment can be left or other comments can be read.

Also available on acukwik.com is a new tool called the KWIK Bar. This quick reference bar is always present on the bottom right hand corner of the screen. The KWIK bar allows users to quickly complete one of five tasks: go to the weather section at any ICAO, go to the NOTAMS section at any ICAO, calculate a trip distance between two ICAOs, see recently viewed airports, or see recently viewed FBOs.

“AC-U-KWIK is committed to bringing even more data, tools and community to acukwik.com,” business aviation group publisher Frank Craven said. “We’ve seen a 23% increase in average monthly unique users, a 29% increase in total page views, and a 33% increase in average monthly page views. Clearly we are delivering value to aviation professionals and now we have features no other aviation site has,” he explained. Craven points to AC-U-KWIK’s 30 plus years of publishing information aviation professionals need as the foundation for acukwik.com’s growing usage rate among these information dependent users.

The AC-U-KWIK team expects online growth to continue with more additions to acukwik.com scheduled in the upcoming months. Keep watching the site for more details.
