New Jet Source Travel Options Open the Door to a Broader Customer Base

Jet Source in Carlsbad, Calif. recently launched several programs that could enable business flyers to more conveniently transition to the general aviation market from commercial service and its traditional inconveniences.

Through a new shared ownership program option, customers can purchase a 1/8 share of a Spectrum Independence jet. This all-new Very Light Jet (VLJ) will be certified in mid 2009 and will include up to 100 hours of flight time annually. Jet Source provides flight crews and full-service operational support.

A new pilot club enables licensed pilots to gain experience and log flight training hours on Jet Source's fleet. And a new prepaid travel card ultimately enables customers to buy flight hours far in advance and at a lower cost.

"We're making it easier for a lot of people to fly around in a private aircraft," says Frank Milian, Jet Source president and chief operating officer. An increasing number of business people are seeking pilot licenses, Milian adds.

Jet Source is focused on broadening its customer base to suit the interests of business, individuals and licensed pilots. Southern California and Las Vegas are the test markets for these programs.

In 2008, Jet Source will open two new 35,000 square foot hangars in Henderson, Nevada.
