Flight Pro International Celebrates Fifth Anniversary and Nearly 50 Years of Global Industry Relationships
/FPI just celebrated a 5-year anniversary in July, but their roots began nearly 50 years ago as the elite trip management team known as Air Routing International (ARI). Today’s aviation veterans may well remember the specialized, white-glove services ARI introduced to the global VIP flight operations market in the late ‘70s, eventually acquired by Rockwell Collins in the early ‘00s, and ultimately re-coalescing independently as a seasoned, well-oiled, group of professionals in the year 2020 as FPI. Most of today’s FPI team hails from ARI’s evolution into FPI.
Their infrastructure names may have changed over time, but the team's spirit of excellence has never skipped a beat.
Merging aviation industry veterans and quite a few U.S. Veterans under one roof, FPI’s passionate and experienced team has collected an overwhelming number of customer satisfaction feedback reports, thanks in part to their longstanding relationships with quality service partners in a near-limitless array of global markets.
FPI’s framework stands unique in that their different service departments are cross-trained and operate in close vicinity from one another, creating an efficient collaboration and communication process ready to respond rapidly to a wide range of flight operations and client needs, including:
Meteorology/Flight Planning: FPI’s in-house meteorologists provide best-in-class computer flight analysis as they oversee flight plans, flight watch, and ground handling impacts before and throughout the duration of the trip.
Trip Planning, Global Vendor Relations, and “Special Services Network” (SSN): FPI’s trip planning and SSN teams are comprised of a global network of preferred, in-country partners who provide supervision and expertise on all trip and vendor service types, including ground handling, fuel services, customs, and much more.
Compliance/Regulatory: FPI’s Compliance and Regulatory Team manages a variety of complex services despite ever-changing global compliance nuances, saving a significant amount of time for FPI clients.
Fuel, Travel, and Accounting Services: These three departments allow pilots and trip managers to breathe easily knowing their fuel, travel, and accounting data is monitored, accuracy-checked, and available at any hour of the day.
FlightProConnect.com (“FPC”): Thoughtfully designed for pilots, trip schedulers, and dispatchers, FPC is FPI’s fully mobile-ready custom technology built to consolidate operations into a single, secure platform. The airport-query “Trip Planner” feature, in-app messaging, instant feedback, and offline capabilities are among many services FPC provides.
“Whether traveling popular routes or unusual destinations, we aim to alleviate the pain points our clients experienced before bringing FPI on as a dedicated extension of their flight departments,” states Matt Pahl, FPI president and COO. “Together with the entire Flight Pro International team, our goal is to be ‘Your Premier Trip Support Solution’ across multiple categories and keep you covered from ground to skies.”
FPI will be present in Booth 2020 at NBAA-BACE 2025 (Las Vegas, NV) October 14-16; however, the fully integrated operations team is reachable 24/7/365 from their FPI’s Houston, TX headquarters.
