Desert Jet Center Receives NATA’s Safety 1st Clean Standard

Desert Jet Center, Fixed Base Operator (FBO) located at the Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport (KTRM) in Thermal, California, is pleased to announce its status as Safety 1st Clean Certified. The clean location certification received earlier last month adds to the FBOs exemplary safety accreditations, which include IS-BAH Stage 2 registration and NATA Safety 1st certification.

The certification demonstrates the commitment of Desert Jet Center to both its customers and employees by conforming with Safety 1st Clean, an infectious disease response cleaning standard for Fixed Base Operators developed by the National Air Transportation Association (NATA). The cleaning standard, developed by the NATA Safety Committee and COVID Task Force, provides guidance on facility cleaning, disinfecting, and facility operations in response to a pandemic. The goal of this standard is to safeguard FBO team members, corporate assets, and the general flying public.

NATA and its members are committed to helping mitigate the risk of the spread of contagious diseases, but also understand that no cleaning and disinfecting standard is failsafe. This standard represents industry best practices and government agency guidance.
