Avfuel Focuses On Safety, Releases New Training Lessons

In an effort to provide its branded Network with the highest standards in industry safety and service, Avfuel Corporation added six new lessons to its Online Rampside Training Course this year and announces the addition of four more training lessons to arrive in 2017.

The newest lessons include:

-Tips for trainers

-De-ice and anti-ice procedures

-Aircraft marshalling,

-Towing

-Radio etiquette

-Record keeping

Avfuel personnel are also gearing up to release lessons on security, operations, sales and customer service in 2017.

“Adding these new lessons to our existing Online Rampside Training Course promotes best fuel-handling practices, higher safety standards and premier service at our Avfuel-branded locations,” said Buffey Muth, marketing manager for Avfuel. “Safety is always our number one priority in the Avfuel Network; our online training system is our way of ensuring Avfuel’s Chain of Independents has access to cost-effective, high quality training solutions that help them not only meet industry standards, but exceed them.”

Avfuel developed its online training system in response to an industry-wide push for standardized safety practices. Understanding some FBOs simply couldn’t afford the steep cost of training programs priced per seat—especially with regular employee turnover and recurrent training needs—Avfuel developed its learning management system as a cost-effective solution for its Network. Each FBO only needs one subscription to cover every employee at its operation—whether large or small.

In addition to its newest lessons, Avfuel’s Online Rampside Training Course also includes the following topics: fuel handling and fire safety, aviation fuels and additives, fuel system icing inhibitor (FSII), contaminants and fuel-testing methods, procedures for receiving a load of aviation fuel, aviation fueling components, fuel storage systems, mobile refueling equipment, aircraft fueling and general operations, and paperwork.

The LMS is designed with FBOs in mind to complement hands-on training initiatives. With video tutorials, proficiency tests and supplemental training guides, the Online Rampside Training Course offers a learn-at-your-own-pace format ideal for both new employees and recurrent training needs.
