Colt Risk Management Services Acquires National Aviation Insurance Agency, Inc.

Colt Risk Management Services (CRMS) – a division of Colt International – and National Aviation Insurance Agency, Inc. (NAIA) announced a merger this month. The acquisition of NAIA by CRMS will provide additional value to both companies’ policyholders through market expansion, increased financial strength, deeper knowledge and experience, and more highly-trained staff to back both companies’ commitment to customer service.

“We were looking to acquire a well-respected aviation insurance brokerage company with the same commitment to customer satisfaction as Colt,” said John Springrose, CRMS President. “NAIA fit the bill perfectly.” The merger brings over 40 years of combined underwriting and brokering experience to CRMS. “NAIA was founded on superior customer service combined with expert knowledge,” said Marc Freudenberg, NAIA founder and new Aviation Practice Executive at CRMS. “Merging with Colt will provide our combined client base with more options, more value and a team-oriented approach to risk management,” he said.

The NAIA team joined the CRMS ranks and will operate from a satellite office in Atlanta, Georgia - a domestic hub for aviation insurance. Both companies are excited about the acquisition. “We were open to the idea of a merger, but only with the right company,” Freudenberg said. “Colt shares our dedication to customer satisfaction, has international brand recognition, and is staffed with knowledgeable, client-focused personnel,” he said. “Now our clients will have their primary agent as well as even more options should that agent become unavailable. It’s a win-win for everyone.”

“This acquisition strengthens not only our customer base,” Springrose said, “but also the depth of knowledge, varied experience, and commitment to customer satisfaction while diversifying our insurance capabilities.” CRMS now has over 55 years of combined insurance experience.
