Avtrol/Opti-MIM Now Interfaces with Air BP’s Compass

Liquid Automation Systems (LAS) has announced that the Avtrol/Opti-MIM aviation fuel truck management system now directly interfaces with Air BP’s Compass Transaction Processing System.

The completion of this interface means that Air BP distributors can now improve customer service, management efficiency and accuracy of aviation fuel accounting by automatic entry of fueling data from the fuel truck into Compass.

“The LAS technology paired with the Compass system is a powerful new tool for Air BP dealer,” Air BP vice president of sales and marketing Steve McCullough said. “We’re constantly seeking new resources to enhance customer service and efficiencies within the Air BP network, so it’s exciting to see this technology interface become reality.”

The Avtrol fuel truck automation system is designed to automatically capture all meter readings, including Prist injection, and associated POS data at the fuel truck and wirelessly transmit that data to the Opti-MIM fuel management software. Opti-MIM software provides real time inventory reconciliation, truck sheets, and reports by meter, tail number, truck ID, operator and fuel type. By automating this data capture and transfer, the FBO can eliminate meter reading errors and associated costs, eliminate lost or illegible tickets, eliminate transposing errors up to the office POS, eliminate delays at the counter and reduce administrative burden.

This Compass interface completes the automation system and eliminates manual entry of POS data into Compass. Now, within seconds of a completed fueling, the POS data will be uploaded into Compass and processed. This new capability eliminates the remaining opportunities for transposing errors and further improves customer service and administrative efficiency.

The Avtrol is compatible with any truck type, and its configuration allows Air BP dealers to utilize this tool for improved operational performance regardless of fleet makeup.

LAS, in conjunction with Air BP, expects to begin turning the interface on to existing Avtrol/Opti-MIM/Compass clients immediately. The systems are also now available for new users.
