Fliteport Tackles Middle East Operating Issues

Two recent milestones in the GA industry — the history-making XOJET deal that will produce a new operations base in the UAE and the opening of the region's largest FBO in Kuwait City — are solidifying the Middle East as an aviation center. Fliteport has launched a new initiative in an effort to make the region’s operating environment more manageable.

Fliteport offers a suite of Web-based services, which help GA operators improve their service in the area. Trip planning in the Middle East Africa and Asia (MEAA) region is difficult, a company statement reports.

The Fliteport team, located in Dubai, will help secure take-off/landing permissions and overnight clearances; advise on regional regulatory changes and geopolitical issues; and arrange ground handling. "Because we understand the last-minute nature of these flights, our systems and processes are optimized to address any unforeseen needs," Mazher Hussain, Fliteport's operations manager, said.
