Pentastar Aviation: A One-Stop Shop in the Detroit Area

Pentastar Aviation, an FBO at Oakland County International Airport (KPTK) in Waterford, Mich., offers diverse services to make the facility a one-stop shop for many business aviation needs.

“We are big enough to provide a wide array of services but small enough to ensure personal attention,” Greg Schmidt, Pentastar Aviation president and CEO, says.

In addition to common amenities such as heated hangars, conference rooms for business travelers, flight planning facilities and crew lounges, Pentastar Aviation can provide in-house catering and interiors design and completions.

Other qualities that make Pentastar Aviation stand out among other FBOs on a crowded field include its status as a DCA Approved Gateway, a hangar that can house a B737 and its terminal amenities.

The FBO has several terminal areas. The main terminal, called the Executive Terminal Operation, has lounges and conference facilities in an area greater than 5000 sq. ft.

It features a baggage carousel, workstations and a departure lounge as well as the only privately owned jet bridge in the country.

“We provide our clients with more than just a convenient base of operation; we provide them with the services that allow for their peace of mind and enable them to continue to conduct business while on the ground in a comfortable and secure environment,” Bob Sarazin, Pentastar Aviation vice president FBO services, says.

The FBO monitors employee satisfaction and individual customer feedback to continuously improve processes and increase employee engagement.
