Ocean Air Acquires Century Aviation

Ocean Air Aviation in North Bend, Ore., earlier this month announced that it had purchased the holding interest in Dallas-based Century Aviation and that the facility will eventually be labeled with the Ocean Air brand.

In an era when corporations are quickly snapping up FBOs and standardizing customer service packages, Ocean Air plans to continue promoting customized service, even as it expands. The company plans to acquire more FBOs in the central and western United States, according to Denise Alexander, Ocean Air's marketing director.

"A smaller FBO has the ability to move quickly to make operational changes in order to accommodate the customer's growing and changing needs," Alexander adds.

Ocean Air's portfolio includes three FBOs and five air ambulance bases. It is owned by Ed Langerveld, who previously owned and managed an aviation company in Southern California.
