Plan To Build FBO May Cost Chattanooga Taxpayers
/Officials said a plan by the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport to build its own Fixed Base Operation (FBO) and hangar facilities may wind up as a loser for taxpayers.
However, airport officials defended the plan and said TAC Air, which has long had an operation at the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport, charges much more for fuel than a number of other regional airports.
Construction is getting underway on the new airport facility. Proposals were received on Friday for operating it.
