Video: Patrouille de France, Daher Commemorate Anniversary of U.S. Entry into World War I

French aircraft manufacturer Daher has shared a behind-the-scenes video documenting the Patrouille de France's flights to the United States to participate in events recognizing the U.S. military's entrance into World War I 100 years ago.

Daher contributed a TBM 930 single-engine turboprop. Chief test pilot Stéphane Jacques flew two hours ahead of the French Air Force's aerobatic team. Using the Garmin GSR 56 satellite voice and data transceiver installed on the aircraft, Jacques provided weather reports to the other aircraft during the ferry flights from France to the United States.

The flight plan took the convoy from France to Scotland; Keflavik, Iceland; Kangerlussuaq, Greenland; and Goose Bay, Canada.

In the United States, the Patrouille performed at the Statue of Liberty in New York and at the National World War I Museum and Memorial in Kansas City, Mo.
