Pentastar Aviation Awarded STC for Gulfstream GIV-X (G350/G450) Wi-Fi Compatibility

Pentastar Aviation has been issued Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) ST04188CH for certification of compatibility of wireless data technologies on Gulfstream Aerospace GIV-X (G350/G450) series aircraft. Award of this STC allows operators to approve the use of Transmitting Portable Electronic Devices (TPED) onboard aircraft with wireless networks or Wi-Fi hot spots for their passengers.

This STC compliments similar Pentastar Aviation STCs issued for other Gulfstream aircraft models, including the G-IV, GV, and GV-SP (G500/G550), and Hawker 800XP and 850XP. The FAA certification of these aircraft by Pentastar Aviation’s skilled avionics team allows the use of TPED for activities such as email, talk, text, and video conferencing without interfering with safety-critical aircraft systems.

“Our clients increasingly expect the same level of connectivity in-flight as they experience on the ground”, said Jesse Beard, Pentastar Aviation’s Avionics and Engineering Manager. “Pentastar Aviation is committed to delivering solutions that provide them a true office-in-the-sky environment enabling them to stay connected at all times.”

The Pentastar avionics team delivers an unmatched combination of quality, technology, superior customer service, and meticulous attention to detail.
