Bahamas Chief Pilot and Aviation Specialist Ends Term as IFP Chairman

Greg RolleThe International Federal Partnership is made up of a group of Federal Partners from the U.S., Canada and The Bahamas. The group exhibit together annually at EAA AirVenture, the largest conclave of aviation executives and enthusiasts in the world.

The beginning of Rolle's chairmanship in 2012 was marked by a major Islands Of The Bahamas initiative that garnered massive exposure for the country. The promotional initiative included the appearance of the world famous Royal Bahamas Police Force Band as the highlight of a dinner event that also featured Bahamian cuisine and Junkanoo dancers.

The Bahamas Aviation team has been exhibiting at the EAA AirVenture for some 15 years plus. The maximized visibility from the hundreds of thousands of general aviation pilots, annually garner a large market share of the GA pilot business for The Bahamas. The Bahamas participation in the last few years has included a booth in Hangar "C," where general information on The Bahamas is distributed along with information for General Aviation Pilots; and the booth in the International Federal Pavilion where information is made available on everything needed to know by private pilots on the ease and beauty of flying to The Islands Of The Bahamas.

This year's Bahamas team included members of The Bahamas Tourist Offices’ Aviation Department as well as members of the Aviation Division of The Royal Bahamas Police Force, and representation from The Bahamas Customs Department and Civil Aviation Department. As in the past, The Bahamas team was assisted by it FBO partners in the persons of Bill Garghill – SheltAir Aviation and Bruce Woodrell - Banyan Air Service.
