Banyan Air Service (FXE) employees celebrate their rankings.Banyan Air Service, based at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport, was voted the #2 best U.S. FBO, #1 best independent FBO and most improved FBO in Professional Pilots Magazine’s 2008 PRASE Survey.

“We are honored to be voted as a top FBO,” said Don Campion, Banyan’s President. “It is our vision to be recognized by our customers and vendors as a premier FBO and the results of the PRASE survey indicate that we are succeeding in this endeavor.” Campion said Banyan thanked everyone who voted for Banyan and that the company would continue to work to meet and exceed expectations.

In addition to the high FBO ranking, two of Banyan’s teammates were recognized as well. Banyan’s Eric Veal was selected as the #3 best line service technician. Veal has been with Banyan for 14 years and is the first shift supervisor with a team of 13 members. He has received the five- and 10-year safe AOA Ops award from the FXE airport authority.

“I believe the vote for me in the PRASE survey was a vote for our entire line crew,” Veal said. “Located on 85 acres with one million square feet of hangar and office space and 450 base aircraft, our success in managing all the customers and aircraft is based on teamwork.”

Bruce Woodrell, Banyan’s Customer Service Representative, has been at Banyan for six years and was selected the #9 best customer support representative in the PRASE survey. Woodrell said his responsibility was to think ahead of the customer and meet expectations before being asked. “Being selected as a top-10 CSR in the country is truly an honor,” Woodrell said.

Banyan was also recognized in the PRASE survey as the “most improved FBO,” which is a result of opening its new Key West-style terminal in November 2006. The new facility offers many passenger and pilot amenities.

Banyan is a 24-hour fixed base operation (FBO) offering fuel and ground services.
