Long known as a must-see vacation destination, today, Fort Lauderdale is also the heart of a diverse economic region home to a $13 billion marine and $8.5 billion tourism industries, the state’s largest technology hub, and a rapidly expanding film and television production sector. Banyan Air Service (FXE) is rolling out the red carpet to pilots for the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
Andrea Bahr has joined Banyan Air Service at FXE as customer support manager, a role with responsibilities that include management, training, scheduling and staffing of the customer support team.
Bahr has 10 years of aviation experience and has previously worked at Galaxy Aviation (PBI), Signature Flight Support (MIA), Sheltair and most recently Orion Jet Center (OPF). Bahr has a BSBA in marketing from the University of South Carolina and an MBA from Nova Southeastern University.
“We are delighted to have Andrea join the Banyan team,” Banyan director of FBO services John Mason said. “Her extensive background in customer service will empower us to develop new processes focusing on a high level of customer service.”
On December 14, 2010, the FAA issued STC ST03901AT to the Banyan Avionics team based at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE) for the Thrane and Thrane AVIATOR 200 Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) system for the Cessna 500, 550, S550, 552, 560, and 560XL aircraft.

"Banyan is extremely pleased to welcome Chris Wray to our team as our new Falcon crew leader," director of maintenance Dave Valenta said. "With his more than 35 years experience in the service, inspection, maintenance and operations of corporate aircraft, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience."
Banyan Air Service technicians took time to enjoy a catered lunch in recognition of AMT Day. Banyan president Don Campion recognized a number of technicians for their longevity to Banyan. In avionics: Steve Ouellette (16 years), Gus Gomez (12 years) and Paul Krug (9 years). In maintenance, Les Bowser (20 years), Terry Schuler (14 years), Murray Zacharia (12 years), Anthony Bessellieu (11 years), Gary Johnson (11 years), Curtis Florio (11 years) and Dave Valenta (10 years).
