The Hangar Ten aviation services complex, located at the Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport (MKC), has received the coveted Keystone Recognition Award presented by the Clay County Economic Development Council for contributions to the local community in areas of job creation, expansion and capital improvements.
A pilot landed his single-engine plane on a roadway in the Kansas City area after the aircraft lost power early this morning, according to KCTV-5 and the Kansas City Star.

As a follow-on to the recent grand opening of Phase II, Hangar Ten at MKC is expanding its hours of 
operations to 24 hours, seven days per week.
The new hours correspond with an increase in customer demand for additional access to the new 55,000-square-foot facility, located at the Northwest end of the Kansas City, Mo., Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport (MKC), Designed as a cultural departure from traditional airport service operations, the new aviation services complex combines a blend of gracious Midwest hospitality, unique customer amenities and bold environmentally friendly elements.
The grand opening of Phase II of the Hangar Ten aviation services complex was celebrated yesterday with owner James Stowers and Missouri Governor Jay Nixon among those cutting a ceremonial ribbon.
