Garmin Autopilots Receive STCs in Several Cessna Models

Garmin has received FAA Supplemental Type Certification in several Cessna 210 variants and the cargo pod-equipped Cessna 208B for the GFC 500 and GFC 600 autopilots, the company says.

Compared to legacy autopilots, the GFC 500 and GFC 600 can provide improved in-flight characteristics and self-monitoring capabilities and require less maintenance.

Intended for single-engine piston aircraft, the GFC 500 is now approved for these Cessna 210 models: 210K, T210K, 210L, T210L, 210M, T210M, 210N and T210N.

The GFC 600, designed for high-performance piston single/twin-engine and turbine aircraft, is approved for cargo pod-equipped Cessna 208B aircraft.
