American Aero FTW General Manager Named to Fort Worth’s ‘40 Under 40’

Riggs Brown, general manager of American Aero FTW, a fixed-base operator (FBO) at Meacham International Airport in Fort Worth, has joined an elite group of young professionals as a 2016 “40 Under 40” award recipient. Fort Worth Business, a weekly news publication, recognized Brown this week during an annual celebration of individuals on the rise in their fields and community.

Brown manages a team of 20 and oversees operations, sales, hangar management and client services at the FBO.

Under Brown’s leadership, American Aero FTW became the first FBO in the Western Hemisphere to earn the International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH) accreditation from the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC). In 2015, the FBO broke ground on a world-class terminal, scheduled for completion later this year. Brown manages over 200,000 square feet of hangar space and led American Aero FTW through a recent purchase of 64,000 square feet of additional hangar space and 2.3 acres of land at the airport.

Brown also leads the FBO’s “Red, White and Blue” charitable giving program, which benefits the Navy SEAL Foundation. In 2015, American Aero FTW donated $20,000 to provide critical support to members of the Naval Special Warfare Community and their families.

Brown earned his degree in accounting from the University of Oklahoma in 2007 and started his career in commercial banking. In 2012, he became manager of sales and client services at Jet Linx Aviation, before joining American Aero FTW in 2014.

“We are proud of Riggs’ contributions, both to our industry and the community,” said Robert Agostino, vice president of American Aero FTW. “His leadership at the FBO has enabled our team to focus on providing American Aero FTW customers with exceptional safety and service.”
