SmartLynx Wet Leases to TUI Airlines Belgium

According to the agreement between SmartLynx Airlines Estonia OU, the Estonian subsidiary of SmartLynx Airlines Ltd., and TUI Airlines Belgium N.V. signed November 2017, SmartLynx will wet lease three aircraft Airbus A320 with Estonian Registration marks ES-SAO/MSN 936, ES-SAK/MSN 888 and ES-SAS/MSN 1725 to TUI Airlines Belgium.

Journey Aviation Gains Authorization to Operate at Reagan National Airport

Journey Aviation earned the approval of the Access Standard Security Program (DASSP) by meeting all the rigorous safety and security measures. When flying to the DCA airport, the flight must to be screened and depart from a gateway airport as the last point of departure before arriving into DCA. The flight is required have an armed security officer on board and follow all SOPs as outlined by TSA for that flight. Journey Aviation Dispatch is available twenty-four hours a day to assist with the process from takeoff to landing and ensure a smooth experience.

NBAA Salutes Regional Representative Dean Saucier for 17 Years of Service

The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) announced that Dean Saucier, Northeast regional representative, will retire from the organization at the end of 2017, after 17 years of service.

Since joining NBAA in 2000 as one of the association’s first regional representatives, Saucier has been at the forefront of advocacy leadership on behalf of business aviation in some of the most challenging areas in the United States, including New York, while effectively covering a large and diverse Northeastern region, which runs from Maine to Pennsylvania.

Ron Jennings joins C&L Aviation Group as Regional Sales Manager

Jennings’ experience includes 33 years in the corporate aviation industry. Prior to C&L, Jennings served as Vice President Technical Sales and Services at J.A. Air Center near Chicago, IL and also at Constant Aviation. Prior to that, he held a 17-year tenure at Elliott Aviation beginning as a regional sales manager and progressing to Director of Service Sales and later Completion Sales, while managing inside and technical sales teams. Earlier in his career, he served in an operational role as Director of Maintenance at JetCorp. Throughout his career, Jennings has assisted customers with their technical services sales for many different aircraft types, including Bombardier, Gulfstream, Falcon, Textron, and Embraer.

Oriens Aviation moves into Pilatus PC-12 MRO Support with Avalon Aero London Biggin Hill Acquisition

Oriens Aviation, the exclusive British Isles Pilatus Centre, has reinforced its commitment to the world’s best-selling single engine turboprop (SET), the Pilatus PC-12 and the growing SET commercial operations’ market in Europe by acquiring Avalon Aero’s business aviation MRO facility at London Biggin Hill Airport. 

The business will be formally renamed and inaugurated as Oriens Aviation Limited effective immediately, with a view to becoming the principal authorised PC-12 Service Centre in the UK by 29th January, 2018.   (Oriens’ activity extends to an agreement with Goodwood Engineering, who will act as a satellite service centre).
